ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Orlando’s old Amway Arena will be blown up in March.
Developers of the site said Thursday that they’ve changed their minds and are planning for a big bang ending to the old arena instead of a previously-planned piece-by-piece dismantling of the building.
Orlando has past experience with big implosions.
Orlando’s old City Hall was blown up in 1991, and footage of the blast was used in the movie, “Lethal Weapon 3.”
