Tampa Police tell 10 News Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan has been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on domestic violence battery charges.
He’s accused of battering his live-in girlfriend.
Lohan was first taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital early this morning after he complained of chest pains after he was placed in handcuffs.
Not long after, police say he checked himself out of the hospital and was taken to the Orient Road Jail.
Tampa Police say they were called to a condo at 2021 Lemans Blvd near International Plaza at 1:10am after an alleged argument between Lohan and his girlfriend.
Police have not officially identified Lohan’s girlfriend, but say she is the same woman who dated reality TV star Jon Gosselin (Jon and Kate Plus 8) after his split with Kate Gosselin.
Tampa Police will release more information on the investigation later this morning.
