This evening at the 2015 Oscars Julianne Moore was named the actress of the year for her work in “Still Alice,” beating out the likes of:
– Marion Cotillard, “Two Days, One Night”
– Felicity Jones, “The Theory of Everything”
– Rosamund Pike, “Gone Girl”
– Reese Witherspoon, “Wild”
Moore, 54, was the favorite coming into the night after securing a Golden Globe a month ago. It was a much-deserved win for Moore, who’d previously been nominated for some of her other films including Boogie Nights, The End of the Affair and The Hours.
