Family Honors Son With Superhero Themed Funeral

It was a funeral set for a superhero. After 5-year-old Brayden Denton lost his fight to brain cancer, his casket was carried by a group of pallbearers dressed as his favorite superheroes. A photo of the touching scene is now going viral after being posted on Facebook:

Brayden had an aggressive form of brain cancer known as DIPG. Radiation and a clinical trial failed to stop the tumor from growing and one year after his diagnosis, he passed away. When it came to planning Brayden’s funeral, his mother invited everyone who would be attending the wake and funeral to wear their favorite superhero shirt. She also asked the pallbearers, who consisted of family and friends, if they would wear superhero costumes.

Last week, flanked by Spiderman, Superman, Thor, The Hulk and Iron Man, Brayden was laid to rest. On the last day she was going to see her boy, all his mother could think was that Brayden was looking down thinking “This is cool.”
