TEN DAY FESTIVAL CELEBRATES CLEARWATER BEACH SUGAR SANDS

Clearwater, Florida (February 1, 2013), The City of Clearwater’s Fun ‘N Sun Festival and Sunsets at Pier 60 Daily Festival have joined together to showcase its award-winning beaches during ten sugar sand days and sunset nights with the debut of Frenchy’s Sugar Sand Festival Presented by Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort from April 19-28, 2013. Clearwater Beach was recently awarded the distinguished title of “Best Beach Town” in Florida by USA TODAY. Located just south of Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach, one thousand tons of its world famous sugar sands will come to life in the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibition, an artistic walk-through display in a 14,000 square foot tent accessible for a small admission fee. Additional no-cost highlights of the event include Frenchy’s Master Sand Sculpting Competition, sand sculpting clinics, speed sand demonstrationsand a children’s play area called the Sandbox.
