A drunk Silver Spring man bit a mall cop in attempt to flee a security guard at the City Place Mall Monday night.
Michael K. Ray, 50, was found inside of the Brass Hen restaurant after it closed just after 9:30 p.m., according to CBS DC. When the security guard began to approach him, Ray hopped over the restaurant counter and began to run away with the bag of chicken wings.
The guard said that he initially escaped after Ray bit him on the upper arm while he was attempting to detain him.
Police took Ray into custody after spotting him walking on a street outside the mall.
He admitted to the wrong doing as he was being questioned by officers. He is facing charges of burglary, theft and second degree assault.
