Last Tango in Paris Rape Scene Was Real Rape

Modern artistic freedom has brought us many wonders. We see naked women walking through art museums in order to spark controversy and supposedly thought. We have conceptual art which has no real concept to it whatsoever. But when artistic license is used as an excuse to commit a crime and violate a woman, a line has been crossed.

Apparently that’s what happened with the movie“Last Tango in Paris.” The director of the 1972 movie, Bernardo Bertolucci confessed that he and star Marlon Brando conspired against actress Maria Schneider during a rape scene in which the actor used a stick of butter as lubricant. Maria Schneider Passed away a few years back, but had maintained publicly that she felt raped as a result of the same.

She was raped. And why the world refused to act on her statements and waited until a confession from an aging artistic pervert is mind-boggling. Being an artist or a famous film director isn’t a license for rape. Bertolucci should be arrested and put on trial.
