Thunderstorms for Your Friday Weather

Tropical moisture from the Gulf and western Caribbean will be moving across the area today bringing rounds of heavy downpours to the area.  There will be a few embedded thunderstorms and some gusty winds are possible.  The rain will fall across most of the area this morning then it will be concentrated mainly south of Tampa this afternoon.

The rain will taper off later tonight although a stray shower can’t be ruled out.  An isolated shower starts our Saturday but a cold front brings drier air to the region for the weekend meaning lower humidity!  That front won’t bring cool air though, highs will top out in the low 90s all weekend.

Today: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms, with rain heavy at times.  Winds will blow WSW 10-15 mph with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Tonight: Skies turning partly cloudy and rain tapering off.  Winds will be WNW 5-10 mph with lows in the mid 70s.
