New Show on AM 820 News: The Costa Report with Rebecca Costa

Rebecca Costa

Genesis Communications Radio and Digital Group, in conjunction with WWBA AM 820 News and WAMT AM 1190 News, announced today in a partnership with The Costa Group, the addition of The Costa Report with Rebecca Costa, to its program lineup. The popular weekly news program is now airing in Tampa every Sunday from 6 AM to 8 AM on WWBA and on Saturday’s from 10 AM to Noon on WAMT in Orlando.

The program’s popularity reflects a recent shift in listener preference toward hosts who are not advocating left or right wing points of view. The Costa Report brings newsmakers from both sides of the aisle to the airwaves. People interviewed include Ron Paul, John Bolton, Alan Dershowitz and Bill Richardson. This marks a return to the kind of unbiased journalism the country used to enjoy.

Costa says, “Once we made the decision to bring the program to these two great markets, we knew immediately who we wanted to team with. Genesis has been on the forefront of innovative programming in Florida with its powerful stations and its award nominated web and mobile media assets.”

The Costa Report first aired in 2010 when Costa’s book “The Watchman’s Rattle: Thinking Our Way out of Extinction” became a bestseller.

Genesis Communications owns and operates WWBA in Tampa and WAMT in Orlando. The company also owns and operates four additional radio stations in the state specializing in news talk and sports. It also is a leader in digital publications with newstalkflorida.com and sportstalkflorida.com. The company also entered the mobile market in 2010 with its Radio Ink award nominated Gotta Know Florida App available on I-Tunes and Google Play.
