Obama In London, Encourages Brits To Stay In EU

President Obama is in London on Thursday, the second stop in his overseas trip. Among other reasons, he’s there to persuade British voters not to ditch membership in the European Union in a June 23 referendum.

Washington’s fear is that a “Brexit” could weaken the West. The President’s visit is a welcome one for Prime Minister David Cameron, who is leading the “In” campaign… a campaign that has drawn scorn from those arguing Britain should leave the EU.

President Obama is likely to suggest Britons should vote to stay in the bloc to preserve Britain’s wealth, its “special relationship” with the US States and the cohesion of the West. Tom has more on the President’s agenda while he’s there.
