Tonight in Houston, Texas five Republican candidates will debate for the final time before the first of two Super Tuesday primaries take place. Texas is the big prize on March 1st when 10 other states hold either primaries or caucuses.
Expect this the 10th debate of the political season to be as big a brawl as the last time this crew got together in South Carolina. With so much riding on Super Tuesday, it will be well a Texas Death match, debate style.
Center stage will once again belong to Donald Trump, who is the clear frontrunner with a second in Iowa, then three straight wins in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will flank Trump on the stage.
Also on the stage will be Ohio John Kasich and Dr. Ben Carson as this will be the smallest debate field that has yet been involved in a GOP get together. The event will be aired starting at 8:30 ET on CNN with Wolf Blitzer as the lead moderator.
The event will also be broadcast on Telemundo with those wishing to view via broadband can see the debate live on either the CNN or Telemundo apps. Texas is a must win state for Cruz and he will likely do all he can to beat up on Rubio as the two battle to be the number two in the field. Rubio, has yet to take Trump on in a face to face battle and if he does it remains to be seen if it is a wise thing to do.
Kasich will likely stay low key but as he did in the South Carolina brawl get in a few good lines. Carson will also be low key and is likely not survive past Super Tuesday.
