Political Primaries Update for the Week of May 30th

What the latest polls show us.

SUMMARY

The biggest news from the past week is that Donald Trump clinched the nomination for GOP candidate.

This will be a slow week due to the Memorial Day holiday.

However, the June 7th primaries are now in view and if the polls hold true, as listed below, here is what to expect:

GOP – 1,237 delegates minimum to win.
Trump – approximately 1541 delegates.

DEM – 2,382 delegates needed to win.
Clinton – approximately 2,061 delegates, 585 super delegates
Sanders – approximately 1,875 delegates, 101 super delegates

This will not be a slam-dunk for Mrs. Clinton. Her numbers are not good for the remaining primaries. She needs big wins in California and New Jersey, but she probably will lose both. Instead, she will squeak by to the nomination. Then again, there is the recent report from the State Department’s Office of Inspector General saying she didn’t have permission to use her private e-mail server. Such news couldn’t come at a worse time for her.
