What the latest polls show us.
SUMMARY
This is the week where we see the “Winner take all” (delegates) primaries: Illinois, Florida, Missouri, and Ohio. North Carolina also is a major prize but it awards delegates proportionally as in earlier contests.
According to the polls, this should be another good week for Donald Trump who is looking strong in all of the primary polls. This could very well be the turning point in the race for the Republican nomination. Should Trump “run the table” in all of the primaries, he will be hard to catch, if not impossible.
The closest race will be in Ohio which, despite the polls, is too close to call. Trump will handily win Florida. The one wild card variable will be the recent turmoil at Trump’s Chicago and Dayton rallies. This will either bring people to his aid, and win Ohio, or turn on him.
In terms of the Democrats, Mrs. Clinton will do well but Illinois will be a lot tighter than the polls show. Next week, keep your eyes on Idaho as Sen. Sanders may pull off another upset.
