WASHINGTON – The GOP is in tremendous trouble if they believe that Mitt Romney is their best chance to assume the Oval Office.
In 2008, Romney failed to secure the nomination and in 2012 he was thoroughly beaten by President Obama who was the first POTUS to be re-elected with the worst election-day unemployment rate since World War II.
Eliana Johnson Editor National Review Online Washington discusses:
So, nobody within the GOP had the foresight in 2008 that Obama was going to be a difficult incumbent to beat and started planning for 2016? Seven years later and your best hope is a two time loser. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
