Carson Gains Strength from Media Attacks

While the GOP Establishment seems intent on taking down primary polling leader Donald Trump, the mainstream media and Democrat narrative operators have targeted the No. 2 candidate in the field, Dr. Ben Carson.

The retired neurosurgeon has been the victim of “gotcha” questioning — such as the twisting of his words when asked if he would vote for a Muslim for president.

But Carson, an Afrian-American who grew up poor in a single-parent home, is actually relishing the battle.

He told Breitbart.com that the mainstream media is acting just as he predicted it would.

“They’re actually playing right into the narrative that I have predicted for them,” Carson told Breitbart News’ Matt Boyle on Sunday.

“Because they cant stand the thought of a black person who is a conservative, who hasn’t had to make it on their handout and be at their beck and call and doing the things that they want them to do. It just infuriates them.”

Carson was also recently attacked for answering a question about the Oregon school shootings. When asked how he would respond in such a situation Carson said: “I’d tell everyone to stand up and fight him because he can only shoot one of us.”

The mainstream media claimed he accused the victims of the shooting of “not doing enough” to protect themselves. The Daily Show’s new host Trevor Noah lambasted Carson on-air and later admitted to another media outlet that Carson’s idea was right.

“None of that surprises me,” Carson said. “In fact, because I fly in the face of the secular, progressive ideology, I expect them to continue to attack me constantly. The only thing that they don’t seem to be bright enough to realize that the more they attack me, the stronger I get. People expect them to do that.”

So far this GOP primary race has broached uncomfortable subjects that have been on the boil among citizens despite lack of media attention or spin to the contrary. Despite having the first black president in American history, the black community has actually done worse during Obama’s reign.

“And I just find it very, very gratifying to see that there are so many people in the black community who are waking up and starting to think for themselves and recognizing that 50 or 60 years of progressive ideology has not led them to an improved situation,” Carson said.

Trump Supporter: “I voted for Obama twice and he broke my heart.”

Carson correctly points out that government programs aimed at helping the poor have “led to more poverty, more food stamps, more broken homes and out of wedlock births and incarceration and crime and murders. There’s nothing, essentially that’s any better.”

Additionally, Carson noted that the Democrats have done little to improve public schooling and have blocked the opportunity for school choice in order to protect its relationship with the teacher’s union, a major political donor.

“And if you had a government that was really working on heir behalf they’d be trying to work on giving them a choice rather than condemning them to failing school systems,” Carson said.

Praise for Ben Carson
