Executive Actions On Gun Control On The Way

President Obama is expected to announce executive actions on gun control measures that he will enact, frustrated with a GOP-controlled that refuses to play ball. House Speaker Paul Ryan has already called such measures an “over-reach” by the Executive Branch, and as was the case with immigration, one suspects a court challenge will be raised along the line somewhere.

There is also somewhat of a limit as to what the president can actually propose. Gun control advocates have had more success legislatively on a state-by-state basis, with some even being concerned that this type of national action will simply just stir up the hornet’s nest of gun advocates.
