Change: Hug a Muslim Campaign Launched Aimed at Islamophobia

PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh students are looking to attack Islamophobia by offering hugs.

Its one step away from staying home and creating a hashtag. At its core, on its foundation its nonsense.  Change only comes about when you actively engage and lend time. Hugging is not going to change anyone’s mind. Its not going to build long term bridges into the Muslim community. Its so superficial

Hugging will not end racism or Islamophobia. If you want to bring about real change join a cause, donate to an organization, write a letter to an editor, vote against Trump and his Muslim ban. But to hug a Muslim? Dumb.

A store clerk was robbed at gun point and shot once the robber drew the conclusion that the store clerk “looked like a terrorist.” The liberal fears that Islamophobia is going to lead to violence towards the Muslim community.
