President Obama Authorizes Surveillance Flights Over Syria

At a Veterans convention for the American Legion, President Obama again hinted he’s willing to chase jihadist fighters in Iraq back over the border into neighboring Syria. President Obama did not explicitly threaten to strike inside Syria, but he did warn ISIS fighters that the U.S. will “continue to take direct action where needed.” The president has now ordered surveillance flights over Syrian territory.
