Obama Convenes Emergency Ebola Meeting At White House

President Obama postponed a campaign trip to New Jersey and Connecticut to hold an emergency meeting on the Ebola outbreak Wednesday afternoon at the White House.

Summoning members of the key cabinet agencies coordinating the federal government response, including the CDC, Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Defense, the president pledged a “much more aggressive” response going forward, saying C-D-C “SWAT teams” will head to any city where a case of Ebola should arise. Mr. Obama took on the widespread fears about the virus saying the danger of contracting Ebola are extraordinarily low.
