No tickets for red light cameras in Florida

Tallahassee, Florida — State lawmakers have decided to give drivers a break on one part of Florida’s red light camera law.

A red light camera could no longer issue a ticket for right-on-red violations under a bill passed by the Legislature.

Those tickets will no longer be allowed if Gov. Rick Scott signs the bill. If he approves it, the new law would take effect in July 2014.
