Trump turns it around in one week.
The reports of Trump’s dying in the polls appears to be premature, at least according to Rasmussen who today (June 30th) produced a new presidential election poll showing presumptive GOP candidate Donald J. Trump passing his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.
According to the poll (click HERE), Trump has overcome a 5 point deficit from just one week ago and now leads…
43% – Trump
39% – Clinton
12% – Like another candidate
05% – Undecided
As Rasmussen points out, last week it was Clinton at 44%, and Trump at 39%. The company also claims this is Trump’s highest level of support in its matchups with Clinton since last October.
Rasmussen also reports, “Trump now earns 75% support among his fellow Republicans and picks up 14% of the Democratic vote. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Democrats like Clinton, as do 10% of GOP voters.”
So what has happened since the last poll to cause such a turnaround? Plenty:
* The UK’s Brexit from the European Union.
* The House’s Benghazi Committee Report was issued.
* Trump’s speech on trade policy.
* and now the Muslim Terrorist attack in Turkey.
All of this may be turning the heads of voters.
We’re now less than five months away from the presidential election, and a lot can change, but this is the first bit of good news for the Trump camp in the last few weeks.
Keep the Faith!
