Mike Huckabee announced last night that he is leaving Fox News, and it appears he will decide on another presidential run by “late spring.” Huckabee’s first run for president came in 2008.
Here is what he had to say in his last show:
“Tonight I will do more than just say goodnight. I will say goodbye. This is the last edition of ‘Huckabee’ on the Fox News Channel. It’s been the ride of a lifetime, and I have never had so much fun in my life. But I also realize that God hasn’t put me on earth just to have a good time or to make a good living, but rather has put me on earth to try to make a good life.”
Mike Huckabee wouldn’t completely rule out another run for president, as he said if he was going to do so he would continue his television career. He aknowledged that his indecision has put FOX News in an awkward situation though, and that is why he is leaving.
As noted earlier, Huckabee will reportedly know more about whether he plans to run next year or not by late in the spring.
