Beau Biden, the attorney general of Delaware and the son of Vice President Joe Biden, was evaluated on Monday at a Houston hospital after an “episode of disorientation and weakness,” the vice president’s office said.
Biden traveled with his son to Texas for the evaluation, his office added.
The incident occurred last Wednesday while Beau Biden was on vacation. He began to feel “weak and disoriented following a long drive to Indiana,” the Delaware Department of Justice wrote in a statement.
Initially admitted to Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago, Biden traveled the next morning to the Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia to speak with his doctor.
The statement said Biden was discharged and spent the weekend at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
