Interview: President Orders Investigation of VA Hospitals

Addressing the growing Veterans’ Affairs scandal on Wednesday, President Obama zeroed in on the Phoenix hospital under investigation. He said, “whether it is allegations of the VA staff covering up long wait times, or cooking the books, I will not stand for it.”

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki remains on the job. On Wednesday, after weeks of deliberation, Senate Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi named five members of her party who will serve on the special panel investigating the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi. Thursday, President Obama heads to Cooperstown, New York to tout tourism at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
