Interview: Obama Paying Close Attention to Gaza After Cease-Fire Rejected

President Obama is paying close attention to the situation between Israel and Palestine. The Egypt-proposed cease-fire failed to quell fighting, and strikes on the Gaza Strip continued.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was in Egypt earlier this week trying to get both sides to agree to proposal. While Israel had agreed to it, Hamas had not.

President Obama is also paying close attention to the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border. He met with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus at the White House on Wednesday to hear their frustrations over the lack of movement regarding immigration reform.
