House To Move Quickly On Obama’s ISIS Plan

House leaders rallied behind President Obama’s call to combat the Islamic State, vowing Thursday to back his request for funding to arm Syrian rebels as early as next week.

Speaker Boehner said he expects the House to pass Obama’s $500 million funding request to train and equip Syrian rebels who are fighting ISIS militants.

Meanwhile in the Senate, there were growing calls for Congress to debate the issue, and Majority Leader Harry Reid urge Congress not to be “rash” in approving legislation that they might regret later.
