Fired Polk County Court Worker Alleges Sexual Harassment

A former courthouse employee has accused court officials of firing her earlier this month because she reported being sexually harassed and complained that a judge was having an affair with a bailiff.

Alisha Rupp, who worked as a judicial assistant, spoke Wednesday to reporters at her lawyer’s office in Palm Harbor.

“I come before you today to expose this unacceptable behavior and to seek justice for the wrongs committed against me,” she said.

Her lawyer, David Linesch, wrote a four-page letter detailing Rupp’s allegations of a “sexually toxic work environment” at the Polk County Courthouse.

Linesch is also the lawyer representing Sue Eberle, a criminal analyst at the center of a sex scandal involving the Lakeland Police Department.
