DHS Funding Deadline Hits At End Of Week

At the end of this week, the Department of Homeland Security theoretically runs out of funds if Congress doesn’t pass a bill that President Obama will sign, ie one that doesn’t repeal his executive actions on immigration.

Though DHS essential operations would continue, it would be messy, and the issue is seen as the first big test for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, with House Speaker Boehner saying his chamber has done its’ part. Then there is last week’s court ruling on the immigration matter, and the administration’s plans to appeal.

ABC’s Devin Dwyer joined us from Washington DC Monday morning to discuss.
