Democratic Platform Committee Meets

Hillary Clinton clinched the number of delegates needed…both pledged and super…to become the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. There’s no indication yet of when or if Bernie Sanders will bow out and throw his support to Clinton as she begins her general election battle against Donald Trump.

However, one battle will continue for sure…the fight for the Democratic Convention platform…the party’s statement of its values and beliefs. Sanders has been pulling Clinton to the left throughout the campaign, on everything from trade to the environment.

The platform committee meets for a second day, with Sanders’ people filling five of fifteen seats…a concession won by Sanders last month. ABC News correspondent Brad Mielke joined us from New York.
