Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul Wins CPAC Straw Poll for Third-Straight Year

The straw poll numbers from this past week’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) show that the Republican party’s ideals are shifting more towards Libertarianism, with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul winning for the third-consecutive year by capturing 25.7 percent of the votes and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker not far behind at 21.4. Meanwhile, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush conjured just 8 percent of the votes to finish in fifth.
