Britain is donating over $2.5 million worth of heavy machine guns and ammunition to Kurdish forces that are fighting the extremist group Islamic State in Iraq. British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon says that “the Kurdish forces remain significantly less well equipped than ISIS and, so, we are responding to help them defend themselves, protect citizens and push back Islamic State advances.”
Mr. Cameron has said if Mr. Obama announces further military action against the jihadists beyond the air strikes that have taken place and there will be a vote on whether or not Britain is to join that action.
