Lynn University To Host Presidential Debate

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) _ A South Florida university is preparing for the national spotlight that comes with hosting a presidential debate.

The final debate between President Barack Obama and his Republican rival Mitt Romney will be held Oct. 22 at Lynn University in Boca Raton.

The school with 2,100 students is preparing to host 2,500 members of the media for a debate expected to draw up to 70 million TV viewers.

Hosting the debate is expected to cost the school roughly $4.5 million.

The school has redone one entrance and is adding another to improve traffic flow.

Wireless Internet access, 70 miles of cable and other technology improvements are being added campus-wide.

School officials tell The Palm Beach Post that many of the upgrades on campus will be permanent.
