This is the essence of the case, and for 41 days since April, the jury has heard some testimony that showed Holmes in basic control of his faculties, and other testimony that showed his mind had indeed jumped off the tracks.
On this day, the jury watched video of Holmes just 4 hours after he shot up a midnight movie crowd, and got a sense of his mental state as close to his crime as they’ll ever get. In two weeks, testimony should be done, and the jury will finally decide, should he stay, or should he go.
