As Pope Francis visits Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, on Wednesday, there will be a special gathering of some 600 or so guests in a reserved area on the edge of the causeway of the Rio Grande to get a look. Also on Wednesday, a larger celebration at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso.
The Pope, for his part, will be visiting a prison after his arrival to the border city, then holding a mass at its fairgrounds. It will mark the end of a weeklong visit to Mexico, before the pontiff heads back to Rome. ABC’s Jim Ryan is in El Paso, Texas, and discusses the Pope’s visit and message.
