Peace Of Mind In The Age Of Zika

A team of researchers at the University of Texas has developed an at-home test for Zika-infected mosquitoes. The DIY kit involves catching a mosquito, squashing it and putting what’s left into a small box, where the insect’s bodily fluids are tested for several illnesses, including Zika and malaria. The developers hope to market the test for homeowners in this country and researchers in the developing world.
