Obama’s Requests Stand Little Chance In Passing

Don’t expect too much. Among the requests that have little chance of moving forward: making sure someone on a no-fly list can’t buy a gun, an assault weapons ban, and authorization to use military force against ISIS. Meanwhile, House Speaker Paul Ryan will make his first visit to the White House Monday. It’s a social occasion, a congressional ball, but with budget talks deadlocked, and everything else going on, it’s likely Ryan and President Obama will cross paths.
