NFL – The NFL has banned convicted criminals from participating in the scouting combine. If you think about it, that really is amazing news. I mean, in what other organization would it be remotely newsworthy that they had decided to stop actively recruiting criminals for employment?
This has been a long time coming. But of course it doesn’t apply to the numerous convicted criminals who are already in the NFL. And of course, it only applies to a certain range of crimes.
Keep in mind also that there is a tremendous loophole here. It only applies to convicted criminals. You can be arrested, you can be charged, and still be a great football prospect. The only lesson that the great brains in the National Football League have taught prospects is: hire a good lawyer.
