Mother Of Affluenza Teen Due In LA Court

Tonya Couch, mother of the Texas teenager who received probation for killing four people in a drunken-driving crash in 2013, has her own court date in Los Angeles. The 48-year-old Couch is not expected to fight her extradition back to Texas when she stands before a judge in Los Angeles Tuesday morning.

Once back in Texas, she’s to face the felony charge of hindering the apprehension of her son by accompanying him out of the country last month. Ethan Couch, meanwhile, has a lawyer of his own, who’s fighting tooth and nail to keep his client in Mexico and out of the reach of Texas prosecutors.
