Justice Department Sues City Of Ferguson

The U.S. Justice Department announced it will sue the city of Ferguson, after the city council in the St. Louis suburb called for several changes to the tentative agreement that was worked out to revamp its police department and municipal court operations. The city council actually voted to approve the settlement, but on the condition that the Justice Department agree with the changes.

Essentially, Washington said no, we won’t, and will now take Ferguson to court, arguing that some of their policies are in violation of the U.S. Constitution. Jim Ryan, who was in Ferguson covering the protests, has the latest.
