Florida Implements 24 Hour Abortion Waiting Period

TALLAHASSEE – The boys club of Tallahassee has decided that women need more time to make the decision of whether or not they are ready for an abortion. They now will have a 24 hour cooling off period before being able to carry on with the procedure.

Florida lawmakers don’t understand the decision process when it comes to having an abortion. These are painful, difficult decisions that women come to. A decision that is gut wrenching and will haunt them for the rest of their lives. It is not made on a whim and a cooling off period will not lessen Florida abortion rate.

Make education and contraception more ubiquitous than it is now. Ultimately, the choice is up to the woman and acting like an extra day is going to change a person mind is political nonsense. All based on trying to be able to fundraise by sending out a flyer to their base by saying look what we’ve done to alter pro-choice. This is just to demean women during a vulernable time.
