Ferguson: One Year After Michael Brown Shooting

One year ago, the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri, was reacting with shock to the shooting of an unarmed, black teenager by white police officer Darren Wilson. Shock would turn to anger and then to violence as the city sank into chaos, looting and violence.

Michael Brown’s killing on Aug. 9th, 2014, was the first in a series of high-profile police shootings around the country. ABC’s Jim Ryan has returned to Ferguson on this first anniversary to gauge the city’s recovery.

Ryan is also keeping an eye on things in the city of Arlington, Texas, where yet another unarmed black teen was short and killed by a white police officer.
