Evacuations, Curfews and Deadly Accident Blamed On Flooding

The rain has stopped across most parts of Texas and devastating floodwaters have begun to recede. But the aftermath of weeks of torrential rain in the Lone Star State is now being felt in communities across the country – the hometowns of nine soldiers who died at the sprawling Fort Hood Army post when their 2.5-ton military vehicle overturned at a low-water crossing.
