The Atlantic hurricane season starts in about a week and runs through Nov. 30th. Predicting a dozen named storms this year, federal weather forecasters have kicked off their 2016 hurricane-awareness campaign in landlocked places like San Antonio, Texas, to emphasize the threat that monsters like Rita, Ike and Katrina can pose to flood-prone populations far away from the coast.
