Apple Supporters To Protest Against FBI

The digital rights group Fight for the Future, which has been involved in several online protests in the past, has organized more than 40 protests outside U.S. Apple stores on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. local time. The organization says protesters will carry “iPhone-shaped banners reading ‘Don’t Break Our iPhones.'” Among the cities where protests are being organized, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, as well as overseas at stores located in London, Hong Kong, and Berlin. The protesters are also planning to rally outside FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, family members of San Bernardino victims have urged Apple to cooperate with the FBI, and an internal memo sent by CEO Tim Cook to employees has been circulated by the press.
