Yankees Re-Up Spring Training Deal In Tampa

Tampa Bay baseball fans will get to watch New York Yankees spring training for decades to come.

The team and the Tampa Sports Authority have tentatively agreed to a deal that keeps spring training at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa through 2046.

And there will be $40 million in stadium upgrades using the tourist tax.

Renovations include a new outfield concourse, group and social gathering areas, and more shade.

The entrance will also be reworked.

The pact still needs the approval of Hillsborough County, Tampa, the TSA board, Hillsborough Aviation board, and the Hillsborough Community College board.
