Woman Chases Robbers

HOBE SOUND, Fla. (AP) _ A Hobe Sound woman chased after four would-be robbers when she returned home from taking her husband to work and saw them climbing out of her window.

Renee Granlund told Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers (http://bit.ly/J1Cjh2 ) she saw a man in a silver Toyota in her driveway Wednesday morning and asked him what he wanted.

He started driving away after she told him the person he was looking for wasn’t there.

That’s when Granlund saw three men climbing out the window.

They ran, holding loot-filled pillowcases in one hand and using their other hand to keep their pants from falling down.

Granlund jumped in her car and took chase, honking her horn to alert neighbors, who called 911.

Martin County Sheriff’s deputies stopped them about a mile away and arrested them.
