Woman Attacked In Movie Theater Parking Lot

Hillsborough County, Florida – On July 8, 2014 at 5:45 p.m., 62-year-old victim Barbara Orebaugh of Valrico was walking towards the movie theaters at Regency Square, located at 2490 W. Brandon Blvd., when a black male suspect attacked her. He tried to steal her purse and a struggle ensued.

The suspect knocked Orebaugh to the ground, where he punched and kicked her about her body and face. He forcefully removed her purse and ran away. The suspect was observed getting into a 2006-08 Red/Maroon Chevrolet Impala with dark, tinted windows and fleeing west on Grand Regency Blvd.

The suspect was later captured on video surveillance at nearby department stores, using the victim’s credit card. The victim sustained broken bones and numerous contusions/bruises. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’2″, 190-200 lbs., 20-26 years of age with a goatee. He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt with the words “Three Point Layup” on it and black athletic shorts.
