White House Speaks On Ebola Quarantine Rules

On Monday, the White House responded to the mandatory quarantine that saw a nurse held against her will at University Hospital in Newark from Friday through Monday.

The decision to force Kaci Hickox into a hospital tent was clearly frowned upon in Washington. White House Spokesman Josh Earnest warned the governors of New York and New Jersey of the “unintended consequences” of quarantining all medical workers returning from West Africa.

President Obama heads to Milwaukee on Tuesday to campaign for the Wisconsin’s Democratic Governor candidate Mary Burke.
