This Week Could Set Tone In Washington For Next Two Years

For those trying to get a sense of whether the Republican controlled Congress and the West Wing can get anything accomplished over the next two years, this week may pretty much sum up the chances. First, President Obama appears ready to forge ahead with executive orders regarding immigration, which the GOP has indicated that by itself will poison the entire legislative well.

Then you have the Keystone XL Pipeline, which if the Senate approves quickly, faces a possible presidential veto if the White House wants more time on the issue. Needless to say, even a Bourbon with Sen. Mitch McConnell probably won’t fix the damage should President Obama diverge with Congress on both counts.

Also, President Obama reacted to the latest ISIS video, calling it “an act of pure evil.”
