Veterans Suicide Hotline Putting Depressed Vets on Hold

VETERANS AFFAIRS – After Veteran Ted Koran’s wife died of cancer 6 months ago he fell into a deep depression. He found himself with suicidal thoughts and tendencies.

Not having family, Koran called the only number he could think of, the VA and the Veterans Suicide Hotline for help. The Suicide Hotline repeatedly put him on hold for up to ten minutes at a time.
